Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Nurse (LPN) to work with Mercy Primary Care Providers in Dexter, Missouri. You will deliver safe, timely, patient-centered care within an organized clinical team and support ongoing care for an attributed patient panel.

The role emphasizes collaboration with patients and providers to improve quality outcomes, maintain licensure, and meet BLS requirements; ACLS/PALS and IV certification may be required for certain units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with current LPN license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS and/or PALS may be required based on unit.
• IV certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care under Mercy Primary Care.
• Partner with patients, providers, and the care team to drive quality outcomes for an attributed panel.

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Nurse works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Nurse will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for an attributed panel.

Hours/Schedule

Full-Time (40-hrs per week), Days

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• IV Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
