Job summary

Wellpath is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for Marion County Jail to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assess patients, administer medications, and participate in duties like controlled substance counts and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and perform diagnostic tests as needed.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts and respond to codes within safety guidelines.
• Assist in medical procedures and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
