Job description

Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Float Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, alternating weekends. OT approved by DBO in advance.

Skills: Enteral Feeds (all), Tracheostomy, Ventilator, Pediatrics, Cath, CPT, IV (central, peripheral, port - RN only), Non-invasive ventilation, Cough assist.

Pay:

Description: The Float Pool RN/LPN must commit to working three shifts per week, including every other weekend availability. They will work within the county that they reside in (Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Brevard). They will work with patients as decided by DBO or designee. Orange County Float Pool staff will alternate weeks between North and South offices.

Goals: Reduce referral to admission timeline for patients pending staff. Ensure smooth hospital to home transition. Backfill on high acuity, high impact patients with staffing issues. Conduct in-home PSOs for high acuity, high impact patients.

Schedule: Schedules will be managed by DBO designee. Each nurse will have a scheduling designee.
