Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan provides professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision. You will administer medications, support the health, comfort and safety of residents, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.

Current ND LPN license, ability to perform required IV therapy where applicable, and commitment to compassionate Christian-based care are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must have an unencumbered LPN license and maintain required competencies/CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under supervision of a RN, APN, or physician.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality within the care team.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to implement care plans.
