Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care, under supervision of a RN/physician. Demonstrates nursing principles, documents care and outcomes, and supports the care team in an interdisciplinary environment.

The role requires an LPN license with ND qualifications, possible IV therapy training, and ongoing CEUs. Benefits include healthcare, retirement and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Current unencumbered LPN license in North Dakota or multi-state licensure.
• IV therapy/management training required in North Dakota if applicable.
• Completion of CEU and competency training annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Document resident care, medications, behavior, activity and dietary outcomes.
• Assist in assessing residents and administering medications or treatments as ordered.
• Maintain effective communication and confidentiality within the care team.
• Support an interdisciplinary care team and counsel residents and families as needed.
