Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting, under supervision. You will perform nursing duties, administer medications, and document care while maintaining confidentiality and effective communication within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an LPN license (ND) with possible IV therapy requirements, and a preference for an associate degree in practical nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• If IV therapy/management is required in ND, graduation from an approved program or IV Therapy course is needed.
• Current unencumbered LPN license and ongoing CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective communication with residents, families, and the care team.
• Support an interdisciplinary care team and respond to emergent situations.
