The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan provides professional nursing care to residents in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. They administer medications, support resident care plans, and document outcomes within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN (required).
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• IV therapy/management knowledge may be required in North Dakota.
• Clinical experience across the lifespan or 400 hours as LPN.
• Unencumbered LPN license and required competencies/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents in long-term care under RN/physician supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident care, status, and outcomes; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to support residents.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse license (LPN)

Associate degree in practical nursing

IV therapy knowledge (as per ND requirements)

LPN clinical experience across lifespan (400 hours)

Multi-state licensure privileges
