Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care, under supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will apply nursing principles and ensure safety and comfort, while documenting care and coordinating with the care team.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited LPN program, an active LPN license, and be prepared to work day shifts with a 36-hour week.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an LPN license.
• Association degree in practical nursing is preferred."
• Current unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board or multi-state licensure privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision of a RN or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for residents in the clinical setting.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Support interprofessional care teams and maintain confidentiality.

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
