Job summary

Armor Health in Scranton, PA seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Lakawanna County Jail medical team. The role covers 3pm–11pm shifts, every other weekend and holiday, focusing on holistic correctional care.

Qualifications

Current/Active state license as an LPN.
Current CPR certificate.
Proficient with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
Assist health care providers and other professionals with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures.
Obtain patient health history, collect specimens, record vital signs, and administer TB skin tests.
Conduct lab tests and ensure results are delivered to the responsible physician or nurse.
Ensure the patient receives appropriate care for injuries or conditions.
Review patient charts and report observed symptoms, reactions and changes.
Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities and document all contacts using the POMR format.
