Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality, person-centered care in a sub-acute/long-term facility setting. Supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, the team emphasizes compassion, safety, and teamwork.

We offer full-time and part-time options, evening or night shifts, shift differentials, and daily pay. You’ll work under the Nurse Manager to implement care plans and ensure accurate documentation for residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LPN license in Virginia.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with accepted nursing standards and the plan of care.
• Follow individualized care plans developed by the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments per the plan of care and facility policies.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Maintain accurate documentation per physician orders and care plans.
• Support a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents and families.
