Job summary

Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, part of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. You will provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting under the supervision of RNs and physicians.

The role requires strong clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and minor procedures as permitted by state regulations.
• Assist in triage by gathering patient information and documenting symptoms and histories.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and physicians.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and other procedures as directed.
• Educate and reassure patients and families during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for seamless care.
• Uphold infection control practices and a safe environment.
• Participate in emergency response and team efforts.
• Restock supplies and ensure ED readiness.
