Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the PRESNow 24/7 ED team. In a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, you'll deliver direct patient care under RNs and physicians, perform basic procedures, and help with triage and documentation in the EHR.

This part-time, 0.60 FTE night shift role offers opportunities for growth, ongoing education, and access to safety resources and loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Nursing Diploma required.
• Active LPN license (NM or compact) required.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic medical procedures in an ED/urgent care setting as permitted by state regulations.
• Assist in triage by gathering patient information and documenting symptoms and histories.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and physicians.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and other procedures as directed.
• Support patients and families with education and emotional reassurance during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities:

The PRESNow Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for:

• Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic medical procedures in an emergency department (ED)/urgent care environment as permitted by state regulations.
• Assist in the triage process by gathering patient information and documenting symptoms and medical histories.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RNs and physicians.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, splinting, and other procedures as directed.
• Support patients and families by providing education and emotional reassurance during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Uphold infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in emergency response situations and contribute to team efforts during critical events.
• Restock supplies and ensure thefacilityis prepared for patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Nursing Diploma
• Licensed Practical Nurse-NM or out of state compact LPN license
• BLS required at time of hire
