The Alden Network in Illinois is seeking a qualified nurse (RN or LPN) to provide direct patient care on the floor during 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am shifts, supervising nursing assistants. Responsibilities include upholding federal, state, local standards and facility policies to ensure high-quality care.

The role emphasizes leadership, decision-making, compassionate interaction with residents, coordination with physicians, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL/WI.
• Must hold a current CPR certificate or obtain one within two weeks.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when needed.
• Must deal tactfully with customers, families, and staff.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Accepts and supports directives; covers multiple tasks and units as assigned.
• Plan, develop, organize, and direct nursing care for the unit.
• Ensure procedures follow established policies and dress code.
• Assist in developing care plans and participate in care conferences.
• Place orders for medications and treatments as necessary within budget.
• Chart notes reflecting care provided and patient responses.
• Attend staff meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
