Job summary

Health Advocates Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Kosciusko, Mississippi to deliver direct patient care in a professional healthcare setting. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and help develop and implement individualized care plans under supervision.

The role requires an active Mississippi LPN license and at least 1 year of LPN experience, with additional certifications and PSV as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Mississippi LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs; report changes in condition.
• Assist with assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and basic nursing procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.

• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedMS license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as aLPN.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,…)
