Job summary

Health Advocates Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Jackson, MS to deliver direct patient care in a professional healthcare setting. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vitals, and implementing individualized care plans under supervision.

The position requires an active MS LPN license and at least 1 year of LPN experience, plus PSV and necessary certifications. W2 hourly pay is offered with comprehensive health benefits and travel stipends.

Qualifications

• Current, valid MS LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience.
• PSV from licensing board if required.
• Copies of required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes.
• Assist with assessments and care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection.
• Document care accurately in EMR system.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow policies, infection control and regulatory standards.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.

• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedMS license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as aLPN.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,…)
