Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Central City, Kentucky is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting under RN or physician supervision.

Local pay is $37.50 per hour with travel pay options including hourly, lodging stipend, and a travel total compensation; eligibility requires living at least 50 miles from the facility.

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Follow facility policies and infection control protocols.

Local Pay: $ 37.50/hour

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $18.02, Stipend (Lodging $539 + M&I $266.00) = $805.00,

Total Comp :$1,453.72

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

• 12 hour- day

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.

• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Kentucky license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a LPN.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (Healthcare Provider BLS certification; TB screening with negative PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT results; Hepatitis B Consent/Declination Form; and proof of Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella vaccination or titers ).
