Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures.
• Obtain health histories, collect specimens, monitor vital signs, and administer TB tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results reach the physician or nurse.
• Ensure patients receive proper care for injuries or conditions.
• Review charts and report notable symptoms or changes.
• Coordinate transfers and document all patient contacts using POMR.
