Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD seeks an LPN to provide professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings. Under supervision, you will apply nursing principles, monitor patient status, and contribute to care plans while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• If IV therapy is required in North Dakota, IV therapy course or equivalent is needed.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or 400 hours as LPN at another facility.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license and maintains required competencies and CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administers medications or treatments as ordered and documents outcomes.
• Records resident interactions and communicates with health care professionals.
• Works effectively with the interdisciplinary care team and supports resident care plans.
