Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to contribute to patient care under RN supervision in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role emphasizes assessment, medication administration, IV therapy (if certified), and adherence to safety protocols while supporting a healing, compassionate environment.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, an active LPN/LVN license in Nebraska, and CPR certification, with a preference for at least one year of clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Currently licensed as LPN/LVN in the state of employment; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Administer medications and IV therapy (if certified) per established protocols.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift and respond to codes or health emergencies.
• Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutritional and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions to ensure high-quality patient care.
