Job summary

Your Place In Vermont in Springfield, VT is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinic team. Under direct supervision you will assist with patient flow, in-office procedures and scheduling in Gynecology and Urology.

Required: graduation from an accredited LPN program and Vermont license, BLS, six months of customer service/clerical experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with EHRs and clinical procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a practical nursing education program from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) months’ customer service/clerical experience, including computer operation.
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Vermont or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience in a physician office (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs, collecting patient specimens, administering medications under supervision, and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of office tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, managing electronic health records (EHRs), verifying insurance information, and handling billing and coding processes.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills including the ability to explain procedures, educate patients on treatment plans, and provide emotional support.
• Infection control and PPE usage knowledge.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality understanding.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow in the clinic.

• Stock clinical rooms, order supplies, and room patients.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts.
• Cross cover in Gynecology and other specialties as needed.
• Schedule surgical procedures for Urology and Gynecology.
