Job summary

Thompson Health in New York seeks an LPN to provide nursing care during the evening shift (3:00–11:30pm) with weekend and holiday availability. You will maintain responsibility for all care delivered on your shift and collaborate with care staff, families, physicians and management.

Requirements include a current New York State LPN license and at least two years’ experience in enriched living or similar housing, with ability to supervise others and protect confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and assess data reflecting patient status.
• Maintain or obtain basic First Aid training within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents during the evening shift.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with care staff, families, physicians and management.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Lead and supervise care staff on the evening shift.

Main Function

• Maintains responsibility for all nursing care administered during assigned shift.

Qualifications

• The LPN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to the care needed.
• Maintain and/or obtain basic First Aid training within 30 days of official start of employment

Education and Experience

• Current New York State license
• 2 years' experience in an Enriched living, assisted living adult community or similar housing environment acting as a charge person with medication administration
• Pay Range: $26.00 - $32.00/hour
