The Charge Nurse will oversee daily nursing activities, participate in resident care conferences, and ensure safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance while supporting mission-driven, faith-based senior living services.

Qualifications

• LPN license is required and must be in good standing with the state board.
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission paperwork and assessments.
• Complete documentation and chart health records.
• Assist with scheduling as needed.

Baptist Village of Enid seeks a full-time registered nurse to join our team as the LPN Charge Nurse. Do you have a desire to work in a faith-based, mission-driven organization? Do you enjoy working with and helping senior adults? If so, you may be just the person we are looking for.

Position Summary:

Coordinate, plan, implement, delegate, and evaluate the nursing care functions of the community to ensure we are providing the best quality care to residents. As a Charge Nurse, the primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by C.N.A.s, C.M.A.s and R.A.s. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Position Duties

• Completes admission paperwork and assessments.
• Completes documentation.
• Assist with scheduling as needed and/or requested.
• Initiates a comprehensive care plan and participate in resident care conferences.
• Educates support personnel in appropriate nursing care.
• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Consistent and thorough communication with the Director of Nursing to relay pertinent information regarding weekend activity.
• Monitors residents’ care daily.
• Carries out physicians’ orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Charts health records.
• Completes reports as needed.
• Adheres to safety and infection control regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• A state-certified and licensed LPN.
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS And ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Must be able to stand for multiple hours in duration.
• Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position requirements.
• Must be able to squat, bend, stretch, walk, and turn.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
