Apple Rehab Cromwell, a 75-bed skilled nursing community in Central Connecticut, seeks an LPN Charge Nurse. Competitive pay up to $37 per hour, with weekend and additional shift differentials. Shifts include 7a-7p, 24-hr pt-time, and 3-11p options, with on-call responsibilities.

The LPN will plan, implement, and supervise nursing care, ensuring quality, compliance, and accurate documentation while collaborating with physicians, residents, and families.

Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a RN).
• CPR certification required.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• The LPN Charge Nurse plans and oversees nursing services for residents, adhering to care standards and physician instructions.
• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with residents' needs and changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.

Job Opportunity: LPN Charge Nurse

Starting Pay: Competitive rates up to $37 per hour, based on experience

Differentials Offered:

• Weekend Differential: $1.50 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts worked outside scheduled hours up to 40 hours.

Available Shifts:

• 7a-7pm (Mon-Friday hours available)
• 24 Hour part-time and 8 Hour shifts 3-11pm
• On-Call Responsibility

Responsibilities

The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.

Key Duties:

• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Requirements

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• CPR certification required
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.
