Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate nursing care to residents under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. You will assess resident needs daily and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care.

You will explain procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and support the care team by teaching staff and coordinating care, while remaining flexible to meet shifting patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program.
• ND Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in public health or home health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal outcomes.
• Participates in meeting the educational needs of co-workers and patient/family, utilizing teaching/learning principles.
• Delegates nursing care based on staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.
• Demonstrates flexibility, accepts preceptor roles, teaches/learns new skills, and covers extra shifts.
• Completes documentation according to policy and timelines.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse.

Every day, you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care.

To be successful in this role, you will exhibit genuine compassion for patient well-being, an understanding of your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation.

• Utilizes the nursing process to assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing
• Experience in the area of public health or home health nursing
• Licensed Practical Nurse: ND
• Basic Life Support - CPR
