Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to residents under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. Every day you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care, exhibit genuine compassion for patient well‑being, understand your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and have the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview patients and record their medical history
- Obtain and document patient vital signs; report abnormal findings promptly
- Administer and document treatments and medications within scope of practice; may administer oral, topical, and suppository medications; injections, infusions, and blood transfusions; start IVs
- Verify that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observe and record patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
- Serve as liaison between physician and patient; share information and reinforce education and instructions provided by the care provider
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Licensed Practical Nurse license in ND, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
