Job summary

Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking a nurse supervisor to provide nursing oversight for non-licensed staff across residential and community settings. You will conduct physical assessments, monitor health needs, manage medications, and ensure quality care for DS consumers.

You will train and supervise staff in medication administration, develop individual service plans with the care team, and liaise with DS consumers, families, and other health providers to coordinate services.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing oversight for non‑licensed staff in residential and community settings, including physical assessment, monitoring, dispensing of medications, nursing care, special care procedures, first aid, health monitoring, etc., for identified consumers.
• Help train, oversee and monitor identified staff in medication administration for DS consumers.
• Provide physical assessments to individuals in the Developmental Services program and liaise with other NKHS services to address the needs of residents in various agency settings.
• Liaise with other community health service providers.
• Develop individual service plans with the consumers' team for those with identified health‑related needs and consult with DS consumers, family members, and staff on health and medical issues.
