Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a dispatcher to coordinate transportation, support centralized behavioral health placement, and manage the bed board for patient placement across campuses. The role requires 2 years of LPN experience or a Bachelor's degree, and an active LPN license in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited LPN program or a bachelor's degree.
• Two years of LPN experience required; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Current LPN license in the practicing state is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation for all transport orders as dispatcher.
• Respond to system-wide requests for acute behavioral health placement and submit evaluations.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, admins, and colleagues by phone and in person.
• Manage bed assignments across campuses and maintain bed board accuracy.
• Assist with telemedicine consultations and transfer center calls.
