Job summary

Promises / The Ranch TN in Dickson, TN seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential nursing care within a behavioral health program. You will collaborate with physicians, complete assessments, administer medications, and support treatment planning.

You will educate patients on detox and recovery, ensure QA through medication reconciliation, and participate in policy training. CPR/First Aid certification required; prior substance abuse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by state of employment.
• At least 2 years' experience in substance abuse/recovery program preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Meets with new clients and assists in completing the medical and health assessment/questionnaire.
• Coordinates with attending physicians to ensure admission orders are addressed and services are provided.
• Completes client treatment plan documentation including nursing assessments and medication administration.
• Directs patient care and reports changes in medical status or safety risks.
• Provides ongoing patient education on detox, recovery, medications and health issues.
• Reconciles medication sheets and oversees medication destruction.
• Reconciles pharmacy orders daily.
• Assists with development and implementation of quality assurance programs and trains staff.
• Attends treatment planning conferences and professional staff meetings.
• Available for 24 hour coverage for consultation and emergencies.
