Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform a variety of procedures within the clinic setting under the direction of the clinic supervisor and medical director.

The role includes greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, assisting physicians, performing injections and blood draws, documenting information, and supporting efficient patient flow while maintaining confidentiality and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and answer calls, including scheduling.
• Assist physicians during patient visits and procedures.
• Perform injections, blood draws, and ancillary screens as trained.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Facilitate patient flow to maintain clinic schedule and efficiency.
• Handle clerical duties and order supplies cost-effectively.

Job Summary-Clinical LPN

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse position is to perform a variety of procedures within the clinic setting under the direction of the clinic supervisor and medical director.

Primary Duties

• Greet and welcome patients
• Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling
• Participates in the admission process for patients.
• Collects and documents patient information.
• Shows awareness of patient’s needs.
• Assures patient confidentiality.
• Performs ancillary screens-drug testing, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, pulmonary function tests
• Injections of medications under their scope of practice
• Blood Draws
• Assist physicians in patient visits and procedures.
• Documents accurately.
• Communicates effectively and works well with patients, co-workers and physicians.
• Facilitates patient flow to maintain schedule.
• Performs clerical duties, as needed.
• Initiates change to improve service and efficiency in the unit.
• Performs various medical tests within the realm of training..
• Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the clinic.
• Facilitates patient records are available for future visits.
• Prioritizes duties effectively and efficiently.
• Participates in cost control program for the unit.
• Handles supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Maintains good attendance.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Changes behavior in response to guidelines.
• Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the unit.
• Accepts additional duties and responsibilities within the realm of training, as needed.
