Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Assisted Living facility. You will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, in line with state and federal standards.

Reports to the AL Coordinator. Shifts run 7 AM–7 PM, minimum three days a week including every other weekend, with shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Florida as LPN and CPR certified.
• One year of long-term care experience is desirable.
• Experience with elderly or developmentally disabled residents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to AL residents in accordance with state/federal standards.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities by CNAs.
• Ensure residents receive medications per MD orders and monitor vitals.
• Assist with planning and implementing resident care based on MD orders.
• Communicate updates to MD and adjust orders as needed.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfers, ambulation.
