Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic's Wooster Family Health Center as an LPN Ambulatory in the OB/GYN department. You will provide hands-on nursing care, support prenatal and gynecologic services, and collaborate with a dedicated care team in a respected health system.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, education, and routine lab tasks. Current Ohio LPN license and BLS certification are required; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees, share knowledge and provide guidance when assigned.

The Ob/Gyn Unit at Wooster Family Health Center offersspecialized care for women, including comprehensive prenatal care, preventative healthscreeningsand general gynecology.As an LPN on this team, your work will be primarily hands-on, with an expectation toassistwithnumerousprocedures.Some of your patients may experience infertility, gynecologiccancerand othersensitiveconditions, so compassion and empathy are critical. In this position, you can make a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of your patients and their families.

A caregiver in this position worksrotating shifts with a start time of 7:00am or 8:00am based on assigned schedule.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of patient care experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
