Schedule: Theory Hours: 44 hours

Theory Prep: 30 hours

Laboratory/Clinical Simulation Instruction: Up to 40 hours (if needed)

Pay Rate: $47.89 D.T.A. hourly rate *must submit timesheet*

Position Overview:

All applicants must meet faculty qualification requirements as defined by the Massachusetts Board of

Registration in Nursing in accordance with 244 CMR 6.00: Approval of Nursing Education Programs.

Faculty are required to maintain qualifications appropriate to assigned teaching responsibilities, including

evidence of clinical competency and ongoing professional development.

Adjunct Instructor in Obstetrics/Maternity Nursing to instruct in the Family Centered Nursing Theory Course and Clinical Simulation/Lab.

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in maternal-newborn nursing in classroom, clinical simulation, and laboratory settings. The instructor must maintain current clinical expertise to ensure instruction is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

? Provide instruction in obstetrics/maternity nursing in accordance with the approved curriculum

? Plan and facilitate student learning through lectures, discussions, clinical simulations, and/or lab

supervision

? Assess student performance and provide timely feedback

? Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress

? Ensure course content reflects current standards of maternal-newborn nursing practice

? Collaborate with nursing faculty and administration to support course and end-of-program student

learning outcomes

? Participate in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement activities as required

Minimum Qualifications:

? Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of

Massachusetts

? Bachelor of Science in Nursing

? Clinical experience in obstetrics and/or maternity nursing with evidence of maintained expertise

in the specialty

? Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

? Master’s degree in Nursing or related field

? Prior teaching experience in a nursing education program

? Experience with clinical simulation instruction
