Position Description Summary / Purpose

The Department of Nursing at Goodwin University is seeking an MSN-prepared individual to serve as an obstetrical adjunct clinical instructor in our undergraduate nursing programs. This is an adjunct position; (1 or more) 9.5‑hour (plus up to 3 hours of prep/paperwork), weekend or weekday (day or evening) obstetrical clinical. You would be responsible for supervising students during their assignments in the clinical (and lab/simulation on campus) setting and evaluating students’ written clinical packet and other assignments. This would be for a Fall 2026 start.

Essential Job Functions / Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate the obstetrical clinical experience across the curriculum
• Review and provide weekly feedback to students on clinical packets and other assignments as appropriate
• Complete a midterm and final evaluation for each student per clinical rotation
• Assist with the clinical experience in the nursing skills and simulation laboratory
• Support students and lab faculty as needed in the laboratory environment
• Collaborate with faculty to provide consistent and relevant student learning experiences to meet the course and clinical learning outcomes
• Maintain standards of care with relation to safety protocols across both the work clinical and laboratory environments

Other Functions

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates
• Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends
• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort
