Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit seeks an LPN to provide nursing care under RN supervision in our 97-bed facility with LTACH beds and a 46-bed Behavioral Health Unit in downtown Dayton.

You will administer medications, assist with treatments, coordinate with physicians, support pain management, and address psychosocial needs of patients and families. Requires LPN license, BLS, and fluent English; IV therapy/ACLS may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse license.
• BLS Certification required; IV Therapy and ACLS may be required in certain care areas.
• Minimum six months’ prior experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications under RN supervision.
• Consults with RN and informs of changes in patient condition.
• Assists with rehabilitation and treatment per care plan.
• Supports pain management and educates patient/family.
• Assists physicians with examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Maintains patient safety and reduces care errors.
