Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for 2nd shift in Humboldt, TN. The on-site role involves providing holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supporting the nursing team.

The LPN will assist the RN, administer medications, train unlicensed staff, and coordinate medical appointments while adhering to safety and quality standards. Requires compact CPR certification and an active TN nursing license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families.
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services.
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
• Assist with scheduling preventative and routine medical appointments.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health related data.
• Observe and report abnormal health findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for people supported and assist with community supports.
