Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support pediatric patients in their home in Pocahontas, Iowa. This position offers hourly pay and evening/weekend shifts, with clinical tasks performed under prescribed orders.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess and care for patients, and documenting data while collaborating with health care teams. A current LPN license, TB/Chest X-ray, BLS, and 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the practicing state.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing care/services per prescribed orders on each assignment.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care members and document nursing diagnoses.
