Job summary

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Pike Pediatrics Clinic. The role focuses on patient monitoring, basic care, and accurate record-keeping to support excellent pediatric care.

Responsibilities include charting, assisting physicians, taking vitals, and performing venipuncture, EKGs, and specimen collection. Sign-on bonus is eligible, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).
• Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Participates in ongoing clinical education and skills updates.

Responsibilities

• Appropriate and accurate charting of patients and procedures.
• Assist doctors with office exams and procedures.
• Take and document vitals: BP, temperature, resp., pulse, height, weight.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain medical aseptic technique.
• Collect specimens: venipuncture, PAPs, throat, wound, urine cultures.
• Perform/assist with EKGs and pulmonary function tests.
• Administer basic medications and injections.
• Adhere to universal precautions and patient confidentiality.
• Drape and position patients; manage supplies and instruments.
• Record and maintain patient records and follow-up.
