Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for their LewisGale Physicians Valley View Fam Med GME location in Roanoke, Virginia. This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday day shift with no nights, on-call, weekends, or holidays. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, maintaining records, and scheduling treatments. Candidates should have a nursing degree and preferred experience in hospital or clinic settings. Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with state regulations.

• Manage efficient patient flow including screening, exam prep, sample collection instructions, and vitals.
• Notify patients of test results, follow-up appointments, medications, and treatment instructions.
• Maintain patient records, chart entries, lab/test results, and examination notes.
• Schedule tests and treatments, arrange referrals, obtain pre-authorizations as directed.
• Assist provider with physical exams and examination preparation.
• Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients.
• Control inventory and monitor supplies.
• Record patient health history and note abnormal conditions for physicians.
• Screen telephone calls for referrals to nurse or physician.
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
