One to One Health in New Orleans seeks a dedicated LPN to join our clinic team at Caesars/Harrahs. This part-time, day-shift role provides patient-focused support, from pre-exam checks to injections and phlebotomy.

The LPN will maintain records, assist providers, and coordinate tests and referrals while ensuring patient confidentiality and a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Active unrestricted LPN license in Louisiana (clinic location).
  • Phlebotomy skills required.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • BLS certified.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient information by interviewing patients and recording medical history.
  • Prepare patients for examination with preliminary checks (blood pressure, weight, temperature) and escort to exam room.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and complete medical records and coding.
  • Support Providers and clinic operations.
  • Instruct patients on sample collection and tests.
  • Administer injections and prescribed medications as directed.
  • Monitor patients and report adverse reactions or changes.
  • Assist with scheduling tests and referrals; prepare exam and treatment rooms.
  • Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Counsel patients by transmitting physician orders and answering questions.

Job description

One to One Health is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused LPN to join our clinic team located at Caesars/Harrahs in New Orleans.

Job Location: Caesars – Harrahs – New Orleans, LA 70130. Position Type: Part Time. Job Shift: Day. Job Category: Health Care.

Job Duties
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patients; recording medical history; confirming the purpose of the visit.
  • Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary; and escorting a patient to the exam room.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
  • Delivers overall support for Providers and clinic operations.
  • Instructs patients on the collection of any necessary samples and tests.
  • Gives injections and administers prescribed medications as directed by the provider and in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Observes patients, charts and reports changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and takes any necessary action.
  • Ensures that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forwards charts as appropriate.
  • Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Arranges referrals to a specialist and obtains pre-authorizations when directed by the Provider.
  • Prepares exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
  • Assists with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assists providers in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and answering questions about treatment.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
  • Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree/Certification, or cumulative experience.
  • Active unrestricted LPN license in the state of the clinic location.
  • Phlebotomy skills are required.
  • Professional appearance at all times.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • Adaptable in differing situations.
  • Able to multi-task and work independently.
  • Professionalism, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • BLS certified.
