Job summary

Birmingham Green in Manassas, Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN weekend-focused role. Responsibilities include medication administration, admissions/readmissions, and documenting care using PCC and other sheets.

Must supervise CNAs/med aides and meet ADA lifting requirements. Required are an LPN license, CPR certification, and weekend availability; GED or high school diploma accepted.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Order and dispense medications according to physician’s orders
• Carry out admissions and re-admissions
• Document activities through Point Click Care (PCC), ADL Flow sheet, Restorative Sheets,
  various treatment sheets, charge sheets, etc. as established by the facility
• Direct and supervise the care given by a CNA/Med Aides
• Must be able to lift without restrictions
• Will also perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current license to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• CPR certification
• Able to work weekends

Preferred:

• One year experience
• Exposure to the senior population
• Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC)
• Desire to serve and care for the senior population
