Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CT nursing license.
• Experience in long-term care setting strongly preferred.
• Wavorable shift availability and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Record patient’s medical history accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Observe patients to identify progress and adverse reactions.
• Monitor patient condition and maintain accurate charts.
• Administer injections, wound care, and basic medical tasks.
• Collect samples for laboratory testing as assigned.
• Oversee assigned staff on the unit.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.

**NEW RATES and Increased Shift Differentials**

Shift Availability:

• 7am-3pm
• 3pm-11pm
• 11pm - 7am
• All positions include every other weekend

We are looking for a reliable RN/LPNS to care for geriatric patient population in a professional and considerate manner. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Long term care setting and in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.

Responsibilities

• Record patient’s medical history accurately
• Administration of medications and treatments as ordered
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Oversight of assigned staff members on your unit
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions
• Various other duties as assigned'
