Job summary

CRi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Vienna, VA team to provide skilled nursing care in clients' homes in accordance with physician orders and regulations. The LPN will supervise DSPs and coordinate with families and an interdisciplinary team.

We value experience with ID/DD populations and strong nursing assessment skills, with the ability to work independently and document in an EMR. Travel to home-based assignments is required as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia or a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • Minimum two years of current nursing experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with ID/DD population preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to individuals with ID/DD in their homes.

Opportunity

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Vienna, VA team. We seek an experienced LPN to provide quality skilled nursing care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities that live in their own homes in accordance with the physician’s orders and state/federal regulations. The LPN will provide supervision and training to the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the healthcare needs of the individuals. The LPNs will work alongside the interdisciplinary team in planning and service provision and in coordinating services with family members. The LPN is also responsible for performing nursing assessments and emergency care as needed.

  • Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in healthcare needs.

Requirements
  • Be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia or in a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Have two (2) years of current nursing experience.
  • Have a VALID driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ID/DD population.
Other Qualifications
  • Ability to perform nursing services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive nursing skills and skills in the use of standard medical equipment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills for documentation and communication with families, community providers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently to complete reports and document pertinent information in medical records using the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, running, and lifting non-ambulatory individuals.
