Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join its clinical team. In this full-time role you will administer medications, monitor patients' health status, and document observations in the electronic health record.

You will collaborate with counselors, case managers, and medical staff to support individualized treatment plans while upholding safety and therapeutic care within a behavioral health setting. Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Massachusetts LPN license in good standing.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health settings.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor and document health status.
• Assist with medication reconciliation and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely EHR documentation.
• Respond to medical emergencies and crises.
• Collaborate with counselors and medical staff on treatment plans.
• Participate in shift reports and quality initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and agency policies.
• Monitor and document individuals' physical and behavioral health status.
• Conduct nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring of withdrawal symptoms and medical concerns.
• Communicate significant changes in condition to medical providers and nursing leadership.
• Assist with medication reconciliation, medication education, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and crisis situations.
• Collaborate with counselors, recovery coaches, case managers, and medical staff to support individualized treatment plans.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic treatment environment.
• Participate in shift reports, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Who You Are:

• Current Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (required)
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders (required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment, detoxification, CSS, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or residential treatment settings

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Range: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
