Job summary

Townsend Energy in Danvers, MA is seeking an LP Service and Delivery Technician to service propane HVAC systems and deliver fuel. The role includes performing maintenance on residential equipment, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring safety and compliance on every route.

Applicants should have propane service or HVAC experience, a valid propane license, and a CDL Class B license with tanker/Hazmat/Air Brake endorsements. This is a full-time, on-site position with company training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Propane service and/or HVAC work experience required.
• Valid propane license and CDL Class B (A preferred).
• Pass DOT physical and background/drug test.
• Clean driving record and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, troubleshooting, and maintenance on residential propane HVAC equipment.
• Work on propane and electric heating/cooling systems, including heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, furnaces, and boilers.
• Load and unload fuel delivery trucks as needed.
• Deliver fuel safely and accurately to customer locations.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and maintain scheduled delivery times.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and team members.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Utilize a company-issued tablet for daily operations and recordkeeping.

LP Service and Delivery Technician

Pay: $32.00 to $45.00 + per hour, depending on experience

Work Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm | Monday through Friday

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform service, troubleshooting, and maintenance on residential propane HVAC equipment.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in propane service and/or HVAC work
• Valid propane license
• At least one year of propane delivery experience
• Valid CDL Class B minimum (Class A preferred)
• Tanker, Hazmat, and Air Brake endorsements
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Familiarity with GPS systems, navigation apps, and route planning tools
• Experience entering and managing data on tablets or mobile devices preferred
• Ability to maintain delivery records, logs, and documentation
• Clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
