The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS INSPECTOR to inspect LP gas storage, systems, and measuring devices, perform reinspections, and investigate complaints. The role involves travel and providing guidance on LP gas regulations.

Open competitive opportunity with headquarters negotiable within several Florida counties. Requires HS diploma and 2 years LP gas experience plus a valid Class E license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years LP gas industry experience.
• Experience inspecting weighing and measuring devices and enforcing related Florida statutes can substitute for required experience.
• Requires valid Class E driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Inspect LP gas storage, supply and distribution systems and related equipment.
• Inspect measuring devices for accuracy and function and methods of sale/quantity.
• Perform reinspections and site plan reviews for facilities.
• Investigate consumer complaints and incidents related to LP gas.
• Maintain inspection and investigative documentation.
• Provide technical assistance and education to local authorities and industry personnel on LP gas laws and regulations.
