Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver units aligned with Léman’s mission and IB philosophy, emphasizing inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Create differentiated experiences with individual and small group instruction to support all learners.
- Develop engaging lesson plans using diverse techniques, including group discussions, projects, and technology.
- Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom community following Responsive Classroom principles.
- Utilize learning management and student information systems effectively.
- Monitor and report student achievement through various assessments.
- Support students in developing positive learning habits and attitudes.
- Assist students facing academic challenges, utilizing school resources for support.
- Address behavioral concerns by collaborating with professionals.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student development and social-emotional learning.
- Collaborate with staff on instructional planning and implementation.
- Support students during transitions, recess, and lunch duties.
- Communicate professionally with families, keeping them informed of progress and concerns.
- Model positive behavior aligned with the school’s mission and ethics.
- Engage in professional development and growth activities.
- Participate in school events and meetings, serving on committees as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Division Head.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Education.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a high-performing school.
- Certifications relevant to the grade level.
- Strong commitment to the school’s mission, values, and inclusion.
- Experience with data-driven instruction and curriculum development.
- Proficiency in integrating instructional technology.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
