City and Country School in Manhattan's West Village seeks a Lower School Floater to support diverse classrooms and assist in curriculum development. The role reports to the Division Director and helps foster growth in language, literacy, math, and social-emotional development through collaborative planning.
The position is full-time, in-person, five days a week, with collaboration across teachers and specialists to uphold an equitable learning environment and strong family partnerships.
The Floating Teacher or “Floater” reports to the applicable Division Director and is an integral part of the classroom support team. They assist group and associate teachers at all levels in fostering child mental, cognitive, academic, language, and physical growth as well as assist in curriculum development. Floaters are allocated to varying classrooms where a variety of needs present themselves, and the job varies consistent with necessity.
This position has a salary range of $53,572 - $58,208 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This full-time bargaining unit position is in-person five days per week at the school’s campus in Manhattan’s West Village.
