Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; elementary education degree preferred.
• Love of young children and their development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative/nurturing nature.
• Proficiency with educational technology, including interactive whiteboards.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Is committed to the success of every student in the classroom.
• Confers with the Homeroom Teacher on student progress and daily classroom tasks.
• Effectively incorporates principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of Lower School life.
• Performs supervisory duties, including instruction in specific learning areas, and early morning duties.
• Participates in regular faculty and professional meetings and teacher training workshops and is committed to learning best practices with colleagues.
• Attends after‑school faculty meetings, evening parent gatherings and weekend admissions events as necessary.
