Qualifications

• Must be available on short notice, even morning of (occurs with teacher illness).
• Long-Term Substitute positions require a bachelor’s degree in education or subject matter to be taught and experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans.
• Promotes the proper use and care of school property.
• Maintains the negative or positive learning environment as needed.
• Intervenes and/or reports concerns to an administrator.
• Takes precautions to ensure staff/student safety and not leaving students unsupervised.
