The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences school in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated educator to serve as a part‑time Academic Support Teacher in the Lower School beginning in the 2026‑27 school year. The Lower School Academic Support Teacher provides targeted academic support to students in K through Grade 5, helping strengthen foundational literacy, math and executive functioning skills through small‑group and individualized instruction. Working closely with classroom teachers, families, and the Lower School support team, the Academic Support Teacher administers assessments, monitors student progress, supports intervention plans, and provides coordinated support aligned with classroom instruction. Through clear, structured teaching and careful observation, the teacher helps students grow in confidence, independence, and effective learning habits while supporting their continued success within the classroom.
